What Is Going On Here?

Why is This Included in a Cabin Building Web Site?

Many of you know that I recently changed jobs just so I could have the summer off to work on cabin building.

(Well, maybe there were a couple of other reasons, too.)

Anyway, the new teaching occupation put some strange demands on a person. Before I could leave town to pound nails, I had to send the last group of the clueless out into the real world (to help pay the taxes that will support me in later years).

This is half of the engineering instruction staff at our little college.

(A photo is worth a 1000 AutoCAD drawings, and I'm sure this photo gives you more confidence in your local Community College.)

I had long forgotten about what the colors of the lining in the hood means. Later I found out that an orange lining means "engineering" (and it isn't seen much around here). After I rented that gown, I thought they had sent me a "Big Orange" University of Tennessee outfit. I know that Georgia Tech's colors are white and gold, not orange. I would have returned it if I had known how.

Hey, these gowns are great. They're real utilitarian. We ought to wear them in the classroom all the time.

(The long sleeves are for the Masters degree. You know, increased room to help carry the tools needed by the "Master" ... in my case there seems to be room for a keyboard and modem, too.)

OK, we did our best during those dark days of fall, winter and spring.
Summer is now here. Let's get on to the really meaningful things.
